Strengthen Operational Resilience.
Operational resilience is about being able to continue delivering what matters when disruption happens. We help organisations strengthen the cyber security capabilities, controls and ways of working that underpin operational resilience, focusing effort on where it can have the greatest impact.

About us.
Our Approach
Our approach is practical, pragmatic and most importantly – risk-based. You can fix everything, so you need to know which risks impact your business and what can be done about them.
We start by understanding your organisation, your critical services and the risks that could disrupt your business. We then assess the capabilities and controls you rely on, identify gaps and help you prioritise proportionate improvements.

About us.

Building Resilience where it matters
At i-confidential we work with our clients to understand where disruption could have the greatest impact, identify weaknesses and put practical improvements in place. We can deep dive on specific resilience challenges or build you a robust cyber security improvement strategy and roadmap from assessment to full delivery of the programme.

FAQ's
What is operational resilience?
Operational resilience is an organisation’s ability to continue delivering its critical services when disruption occurs.
Is operational resilience the same as business continuity?
No. Business continuity is an important part of operational resilience, but resilience also depends on areas such as cyber security, third-party risk, incident response, technology, people and effective controls.
Do you provide an operational resilience assessment?
We can assess the technology and cyber security capabilities and controls that support operational resilience, identify weaknesses and recommend practical improvements. We also have experience helping organisations achieve DORA compliance, so where relevant we can align our assessment and recommendations to specific regulatory requirements.
Are there specific operational resilience regulations in the UK and EU?
Yes. UK financial services firms are subject to FCA, PRA and Bank of England operational resilience requirements covering important business services, impact tolerances, mapping and testing. Further requirements on operational incident reporting and third-party arrangements are due to take effect from March 2027. The EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) applies to a wide range of financial entities operating in the EU. It covers ICT risk management, incident reporting, resilience testing and ICT third-party risk.
Is operational resilience regulation limited to financial services?
No. The EU’s NIS2 Directive applies cyber risk management and incident reporting requirements across a much broader range of essential and important sectors, while the Critical Entities Resilience Directive focuses on the resilience of organisations delivering essential services.
